Reviews and Ratings
I had a mix of experiences at the hotel. The rooms were large for the price and offered a spacious layout with a bar area, couch, table with chairs, and lots of room. However, the air conditioning wasn't ready when we arrived at check-in time.
I was really excited about my stay at Shilo Inn & Suites in Mammoth Lakes. The rooms are very nice, spacious, and have a lot of shelves for your snow stuff, providing a nice, comfortable, and clean environment. The service was mixed with a broken space heater and a poor booking experience, but they redeemed themselves by being friendly, supportive, and accommodating. The location is convenient for a one-night stop from Yosemite to Death Valley with a huge, comfortable room, friendly, helpful staff, and a lovely breakfast; however, there were some cleanliness issues on the website and a layer of dirt present. The dining experience needs improvement with a lack of fresh options and variety, although the hotel is not too bad, even though it's a bit outdated. Overall, it's a decent spot for a pit stop while traveling in the area.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while spacious and with ample storage for snow gear, seemed outdated and lacked proper maintenance, with a broken window causing discomfort. The service was accommodating and helpful despite some initial payment issues. The location, though convenient for a one-night stopover between Yosemite and Death Valley, had some drawbacks like dated decor and cleanliness concerns. The dining options were somewhat limited and in need of more variety. Overall, there were both highlights and areas for improvement during my stay.
My stay at the hotel was an interesting mix. The rooms were greatly sized and very clean, providing a comfortable experience. However, the lack of a thermostat was a downside, and the tiny capacity of about 20 people per floor made it feel cramped and dirty. The service was a hit or miss, with courteous and helpful staff, but at times, they were unhelpful and more focused on their phones than guests. The location worked well for my trip, but it definitely needs some renovation. The dining options were basic and somewhat lacking, not quite justifying the price. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
